I been addicted to Opiates for on and off since 2003, In 2008 I quit Hydrodene cause I reloacted to Pakistan and they dont sell it there, one of the doctors there statred me on Tramadol so I  been on Tramadol for close to 5 years now approximately 250 mg a day. I recetly staterd some Alchol and drug outpatient therapy where the psycologist told me that Tramadol is considered an Opiate and people actually get off high offf the medicine. Anyhow I have never used the drud was the purpose to get high. I am hope to quit it now, but I have heard some real horror stories about the withdrawls. I am keeping like 20 or 30 Hydrocodene and since yesterday I been taking Hydrocodeone, how I know I cant tell anything is happening now cause I am taking Hydrocodene. Has anybody been through this path before, do I need to go to detox or anybody thinks I am just being stupid.

Please help.

In the same boat as well, almost describes me to a tee,,,quit Hydro's about the same time but for different reasons. Had No idea trams are probably harder to get off of....I have kids, can not go to a damn rehab, single father....so I just keep getting the trams refilled...I quit smoking 4 years ago,,,,heavy smoker, figure if i can do that, I can stop the trams at some point......but make no mistake, it will be a LONG, HARD process...I fugure about a year to totlally feel normal....and during that year, I will have to maintain my very complicated job,,,and keep raising my two girls....thought about a 2014 resolution to get of these,,,and from what I have heard, there is NOT a damn thing to take the edge off,,,nothing.....Hydro's will only get you back on them after a week or so....just have to "John Wayne" and do it...)thats my phrase for getting tough)

Anyway, I realize my post is totally worthless, other than letting you know thousands are in the same boat, not to mention, trams are getting harder to get by the month, now they are considered "controlled" in most States....the Dos are aware of this and really do not want to fill scripts anymore..

Good luck, best wishes, all I can say is pray, not a bible beater here, but a Christian, and praying has ALWAYS worked for me..
