I don't get it , I've been in wellbutrin 150 for a long time , the generic kind . And now my Dr out me on the generic wellbutrin 300 xl , and I've been on these for roughly 2 yrs . And I haven't lost any weight. And I've been desperately trying to lose weight . Tried everything to lose weight . I don't get it . Wonder why it's helping everyone else lose weight , but not me ?

I started taking bupropion XL 150 mg in early September and I have lost 20 pounds in 3 months and can't seem to stop losing weight. Even on days where I have a few extra goodies I still lose weight. I am starting to get worried.

There's are absolutely withdrawal symptoms if you just stop taking wellbutrin! Google it for yourself. I've also experienced myself. And absolutely do not just take it when u feel like it! It shoukd be taken everyday same time! I'm sorry but that's insane that your doctor told u that and started u at 300!

I lost weight on paxil. I'm now on 450 mg of wellbutrin xl and very nauseated from it. My doc said this usually passes in 7-10 days. No wonder people lose weight on wellbutrin.

It might be because of the topomax, it can leave one a little foggy headed. I'm on it too and to cut back

You can't talk because of the Topamax, not the Wellbutrin. Are you up to 200 mg to Topamax within a week of starting?!? You need to taper up to that amount, probably should take about 2 months. The not sleeping part is the Wellbutrin though. The Topamax will make you sleepy and the Wellbutrin keeps you up. Those are pretty heavy doses of each, although I take both for other conditions.

The fact you are prescribed 300 means you take TWO pills a day. One pill is 150mg. So you double that and it is your entire prescription for the day.

Hi! I've been on it for 2.5 weeks and have lost 10 lbs. I started into to quit smoking. I was 190 and now I'm 180. I've noticed that I am hungry, it's like a gnawing hunger, but nothing ever sounds good to eat and so i dont eat much. I've noticed smoking now makes me nauseous, like "too full" type nausea. Any update on you??
