Hi.

There are several possible causes of a lump on the middle finger of your right hand. Some of the common causes include:

  1. Ganglion cyst: This is a non-cancerous growth that usually occurs near joints or tendons. It is a fluid-filled lump that can cause discomfort, especially if it presses on a nerve.

  2. Arthritis: Arthritis is a condition that affects the joints and can cause swelling and pain. If the lump is located near the joint of your middle finger, it could be a sign of arthritis.

  3. Trigger finger: This condition causes a finger to get stuck in a bent position and can cause a lump or bump to develop on the affected finger.

  4. Dupuytren's contracture: This is a condition where the connective tissue in the palm of your hand becomes thickened and can cause a lump or cord-like band to develop on your finger.

  5. Infection: A lump on your finger can also be a sign of an infection. This can occur if you have a cut or scrape on your finger that becomes infected.

It is important to have any new lump or growth on your finger examined by a medical professional. They can perform a physical exam, ask about your symptoms and medical history, and may order imaging tests to help determine the cause of the lump.

Have you got it checked.
