HI, i am a 16 year old female and just had sexual intercourse for the first time last night. i am not taking birth control and we did not use a condom. he said he pulled out and that he has done it before with out a condom and has never gotten anyone pregnet. The day after we had sex i had really bad cramps like i was about to start my period. I have a very irregular menstral cycle and cant remember when i had my period in june. Are the cramps a good sign that i am going to have my period? or are they just because i had intercourse??

To be honest, you never can tell what the cramps were.

It could be indication of your period, it could be due to sex, it could be because he managed to hit your ovaries (you can cramp for two days when this happens) or who knows what other reasons you were cramping.

Make sure you use a condom next time you have sex with someone who is not your regular partner and who hasn't been tested. Don't trust anyone because they may not even know that they have an STD.

I don't want to scare you but you should have protected intercourse, so you would not get pregnant or catch an STD.

If you think you will be having regular intercourse from now on, see a gynecologist for birth control pills.
