Everything Cajun
Hmm. I can't think of anything that is native to Indiana. I would claim White Castle, but I'm not even a big fan of White Castle.

Oh, good point. But, I'm not a big popcorn fan so I wouldn't miss it much.

Down here...Florida lobster...so sweet it doesn't even need butter!

Stone crab claws...serve 'em up with a pommery mustard sauce and have a party!

Yellowtail snapper...sauteed with tomatoes, grilled plantains, and a tiny amount of garlic butter...or capers and lemon...or with a mango/pineapple/cucumber/carrot/spicy sprout relish...

The seafood down here can't be beat!!!

Columbus - I miss Chef Todd from the Elevator and his ribs, and rock filet (but that's not really indiginous (sp?) to Columbus)

Milwaukee - not so much the traditional WI food like bratwursts, but I miss Balistrieri's Pizza and eggplant, and the Chicago Beef sandwiches just south. Also the Wisconsin fish "frys" every Friday night!

I'd miss Mcdonald's, the Walmart Eatery and of course, bottled water.

The Mac brothers were from a town near me. I was just home from the army in when penis came home after selling his business to Ray Kroc. The news story was about a guy who came home rich and bought his friend(s) Cadillacs when he arrived.

righto!!!!! The rest of the country isn't Mexican.....it is a waterdowned version of TexMex. Try ordering nachos in Mexico!!!!! They are like WTF??? Nachos is the finest form of tex-mex.
And thank you very much Cheryl.....now my mouth is watering for Tortilla soup......you can now get it at some restaurants around here....but it just ain't right. Last night we went out to eat (italian) and the waiter said the soup of the day was tortilla and hubby is yes!!!! Only to hear.....sorry sir I was wrong....I wanted to deck the guy. But then I held back by thinking it couldn't have been the real stuff anyway!

What would you DO? You can NEVER move! :P
I miss fish tacos from California. And Mexican food from there, too. Apparently NYC is too far away from Mexico for anyone to have learned to do it correctly :umno: And In 'N Out - the best hamburger place on the planet - is only in California/Nevada.
There are too many amazing things here that I would miss, but mostly the variety. You can get ANYTHING you want, at any hour of the day or night.
And it's true... NYC has the best pizza anywhere. :fubby:
