The urge for release at that age is almost overwhelming for a guy. I blame the biologic need for procreation but whatever the case its powerful and can make guys make all sorts of stupid decisions. Are you against relieving him manually (with your hands and/or mouth)? If you can 'release the swelling' it might be easier for him to think rationally and perhaps understand your desire to wait. If that is too much for you, sleeping in the same bed is probably a bad idea and can cause him a ton of frustration and discomfort.
