I just got my period today, the 9th. I am starting Ortho Tri-Cyclen today for the first time ever, and I was told to take the first pill (the white pill which contains hormones).  I am getting married in 6 weeks, and I am worried that my period is going to come on my honeymoon!  Will my period come next month while I take the green pills (without hormones) or will it come in 28 days (while I start the next pack beginning with the white pills)? Would next month be too early to start skipping my period (if I just go on to my next pack of white pills without taking any of next month's green pills)? What should I do if I want to make sure I don't have my period in about 6-7 weeks from now?
