Hi I have been on 400mg of Tramadol for over 10 years and quit 10 days ago, I was advised not to do this by my GP but Tramadol has messed my whole body and mental state so bad I had to get of them. My withdrawal symptoms are Anxiety lack of sleep very low energy levels wrestles legs brain zaps ringing in ears and of course my Arthritic pains are back. We as patients should be fully informed about these pills before they are prescribed to us, then it its up to us to make an informed choice whether we take them or not. I spoke to a Professor who told me he would never prescribe Tramadol to any of his patients. From my own experience they are aptly named by some as the Devils pills. I do believe I have a long way to go before they are completely out of my system. I hope by my experience that can help someone. Richard.

Hey, I've came to the right post. My husband & I got arrested in 2008-2009 for doctor shopping for Tramadol. Since it was my first time ever,I got 2 years probation and a hefty fine. He got prison time also on a unrelated charge of a firearm. So he had a total of 19 months. After we got caught I quit going to doctors and he kept it up. Anyway, Tramadol is very bad. I'm still taking it for my back pain but the doctor is watching the dosage this time which is better for me now. So I warn you stay away from it. He is still taking it too and also Soma to help him sleep. This time he is controlling it well.
Go back to your doctor and have him ease you off of it now.

i had been on tramadol and had suffered flu symptoms when trying to get off the medication. i would never recommend this drug to anyone. i would recommend a cleanse to release all of the toxins from the drug to flush it out and stay off of it. also i would ask the advice of a few doctors what also you could do to feel better soon because believe you me i know it is miserable to feel this way
