My mother is 61 years old and suffers from a serious depression. The problems started with her menopause and unfortunately, depression remained from that period and has becoming worse and worse each year. Would you consider being part of the study that involves Deep Brain Stimulation? Is it dangerous? What do you say?

Well, Deep Brain Stimulation is one of the latest techniques that deal with all sorts of neurological problems, not only depression. But, the problem is in the method itself which is described in the title. It involves stimulation of the certain brain areas that are held responsible for the treated condition. I guess it can be tried, if there is no other way.
