A tummy tuck is done to remove excess skin and fat that is pretty much overhanging, remove stretch marks that are below the navel, and to repair the abdominal muscles which are torn during pregnancy. A liposuction removes fat from under the skin. It has nothing to do with removing extra skin or with suturing the muscles together. And it’s almost always a choice of one or the other, but not both.
