13 years old & yeast infection?

Girls, once you hit a certain age your hormones kick into overdrive which unfortunately means all the crappy woman issues that come with it. You guys have to just tell your mothers so they can get you some medicine. You'll feel so much better when you get the medicine inside you. Things can get worse if you let it go untreated. I got my first yeast infection when I was 21. I didn't know what it was and I was afraid to tell the doctor. My labia minors were so itchy and irritated that the skin actually started to bleed. I wanted to die. It burnt so bad when I tried to walk because the swelling of my inner vaginal lips was so extreme. I had to fill a cup full of ice water and dump it down my vagina when I would pee so it didn't feel like my skin was going to burn off. That does help by the way, the cool water soothes and it dilutes the urine so it isn't so strong on your skin. By no means am I weak, I have two half sleeve tattoos and half my back tattooed so I can take the pain, but that specific pain was horrible. Finally I went to the doctor and he gave me some external itch cream and a diflucan pill. 3 days later I felt 100 percent better. Seriously, just say "mom, I think I have a yeast infection. My area itches and burns really bad when I pee. Can you get me some medicine please?" Your moms have been in the same situation before so they will understand. IF YOU WAIT ANY LONGER IT WILL GET WORSE, not better.

I'm almost 13 and my mom won't listen to me I didn't know what was hapenning but now I know thankyou these comments helped a lot I'm not smelly but I am sore and itchy and I'm a virgin so I couldn't have an std or any thing

Same is happening to be but only mildly I don't have Mutch itching but white stuf and my dog keeps eating my pants by the way there cotton that's all I wear but I wont let my mom see down there mabey I tell her straight ???

Everynight I can't sleep n I was wondering if that was bad because I have the same symptoms she's having. Should I ask my mom to make an appointment or should I get pills that will make me sleepy ?

Hi im also 13. I also do think I have a yeast infection. im having small bumps, my vaginal area has an odor and im having many itches. I feel uncomfortable alot and I sweat alot too. Im not sure if what to do and I feel uncomfortable

Don't be embarrassed! And I know that that's stupid of me to say but really, don't be. I told my Mother after I couldn't take the itching to odor any longer and this is my first day with the cream they'd been talking about. I feel SO much better. No itching, it burns a little at first when you apply it sometimes but after fifteen minutes (for me, everyone is different and it depends on how sever your infection is) No itch. No burning. Finally my vagina is at peace . Really, take my advice and just tell her to end your suffering. She will definitely understand as it is EXTREMELY common for women to get Yeast Infections and I don't know a person who hadn't had one yet!
