i am 21 and in august i had a miscarriage. when i went to the doctor they said that they didnt understand why i lost the baby because im in good health and i have small cervix. does this all tie together? i only have a period twice a year if im lucky, so am i able to give birth? i have asked many of doctors and they all say the same thing, take birth control for 3 or 4 months to see what happens. the truth is i dont want to take birth control, i want to have the child i lost. i am only asking for advice on how to get my cycle going and how to have child if the cycle cant be fixed. please help me with this issuse, your advice will be greatly accepted. thanks, amber

I’m sorry for your loss. But I have to agree with the doctor’s advice – you need to take some kind of hormones that will jump-start your menstrual cycle and ovulation and those kinds of hormones are found in today’s birth control pills. Birth control pills are actually the same hormones that our body produces to regulate ovulation and menstrual cycle, so if there is something wrong with your hormonal levels, taking hormonal treatment in the form of birth control pills should help your body to regulate itself. I know these are tough and sad times for you now, but there simply aren’t any quick ways to solve this. I’d suggest you go and talk to your doctor again.
