I've been terrified of going to the doc about this, but im wondering if i should.

I'm 22 years old and about 8 or 9 months ago I started noticing that I couldn't quite get that rock solid erection i used to. I was in a committed relationship for four years (which ended for unrelated reasons), and since then it has only gotten worse. I used to smoke horrendously, i mean a pack a day...plus lots of ganj.

I stopped smoking herb a month ago, and just recently weaned off and quit smoking cigs...but I think it's more than just that. I've also had some pretty bad weight fluctuations. I've gone up and down ten pounds in a week many times in the past half year as well, ranging anywhere from 165-190lbs (at 5'10''), though I've gotten that under control in the past month or so.

I haven't been eating too healthy, and though I haven't been exercising enough on the whole...I did spend three of those months extensively exercising 7 days a week (i went backpacking in the desert for that period of time). Nothing changed as a result of that extended up in level of exercise.

I'm hoping this is just a nutrition/smoking issue, and possibly reversible. Any thoughts on what I should do?

-see a doc?
-take a zinc supplement?
-give up on a love life?

It definitely sounds like a health issue.

Going up and down 10 pounds in a week is really unhealthy. :-(

Try to get on a healthier diet, exercise for 30 mins a day at least three times a week, and don't smoke anything.

You should be rock solid again within a few weeks or maybe a few months at the most.

Good luck. :-)
