I am 39 years old male, that had no problems since an accident a few years ago. After years of PT and pain pills my neuro-surgeon suggested to have C7 fused Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) in a few weeks, I am in lot of pain now with numbness in my right hand. I have read many other blogs and I do not want to get this surgery done only to have more pain and limitations such as no gym, house cleaning with constant pain. I addition I know that pain killers are not a long term solution As of now I very limited, many neuro-surgery docs. will tell you that you will be fine post op. From what I am hearing this is not the case. I am ready to back out of this entire surgery, ANYONE?
