I am having absence of menstruation; first I had regular periods and than it started missing occasionally. I would like to know what causes this condition. It happens that I don’t have my period for 5 months, but usually 2-3 months and it is always accompanied with headache. Am I having amenorrhea? I am 26 years old.

Most probably you do have secondary amenorrhea, since you don’t have period every 2-3 months or longer. My daughter has primary amenorrhea, I found out that because he got her first period by age of 18. So I tried to found out about usual causes. I can tell you what causes secondary amenorrhea, but that is a symptom not disease. I guess you have by now discus with your doctor about it and if you aren’t please do, he will know what is the root of your problem.
