Hello I am three weeks post surgery, I am still having pain in neck and shoulder area. I sill also have a hard time with my throat very hard to swallow and still feel like I'm choking. I know I have read some patients are eating a normal meal after this surgery, I don't know how!!
your throat is so sore you can't even swollow water!!This has become better but is still a struggle with certain food.
I am also still on pain medication at least every six hours. I just feel like I should be feeling more relief from my surgery!!
Has anyone had any of these same problems??

I think that you should take into account the fact that we are all different and that we all get sick or heal differently. And bones always heal a lot slower than any other tissue. Have you had post-op check up yet? Big part of your recovery from such a major surgery depends on how your general health is. Three weeks just seems like too soon for everything to be perfect, but you that much swelling should have gone down a bit – that is something you need to talk to about with your doctors.
