i have been on the depo shot for almost 5 years and never gotten any side effects...not even weight gain/loss. i got my most recent shot 4 weeks ago and since then (not immediately after) i'm having random lower stomach pains(mostly when i'm laying down), gas, sick feelings randomly...is it from depo and why am i getting effects 5 years later?

Hmmm i am not 100% sure but i was on depo for two years and it was great i never had any side affects untill one day i just started bleeding and it never stopped-light bleeding but needed to use tamons everyday for a couple of months :/ the depo randomly just stopped working for me.......have never been able to use it again since then (gave it another go later on and got the bleeding again) so my point is, sometimes our bodies just change and reject things they accepted previously. I dont believe in hormonal birth control anymore and dont use it....my advise to you would be to come off it and see what happens...what for your body to return to normal and then decide on another option.
