does avelox interfere with the reliability of birth control pills? i cannot find this info anywhere...help!

No Avelox is not one of the antibiotics that interferes with birth control. Generally, the class of drugs that does are the ones that are Sulphur based. It's always a good idea to use a condom just to be on the safe side.
Just FYI, new data coming out is showing that there is really no significant number of unintended pregnancy on vs. off antibiotics. The data that this was based on is now outdated, and studies are showing that it may be an unwarranted fear. ;-)
