Thank you,

Interactions between alcohol and antibiotics vary depending on the type of antibiotic, and, in some cases, can cause severe side-effects and decreased effectiveness of the antibiotic. Alcohol use while taking Doxycycline Hyclate is not strictly prohibited by defined counterindications, but it is not recommended either. One to two not so strong drinks (wine for example) should not cause an adverse effect. That I have tested myself, but I surely wouldn’t dare to drink nothing more than that. The common widespread belief that alcohol and antibiotics should never be mixed is based on outdated conclusions, but this applies only to broad spectrum antibiotics, such as Amoxycilline and of course, Doxycycline Hyclate. There are still certain antibiotics which should never be mixed with alcohol.
