I recently had an urinary tract infection a week before i had gotten this abcess. And was prescribed anitbiotics. Then a few week later, i noticed it was starting to get very painful to walk or stand. I did get in to the doctors for them to see what this was and they told me it was a Bartholin Gland Abcess. And what i understand is that you should get a cyst that isn't really harmful. Unless it gets infected. The funny thing is i never noticed any cyst or anthing until it was infected. I got treatment done the same day. They made\ an excision and drained it out. And inserted and small catheter into the incision. They told me that i will feel relief right away. Even though thy did do a local ansthetic, that did not help what so ever. The whole procedure was very painful. And this is my 2nd day after treatment and iam in very bad pain still. Its like im on bed rest. I can barely walk nor sit and its worse when i use the bathroom. Is this normal to be in pain after the procedure. And im wondering im now 8 months pregnant could there be any worry???
