Can you damage a ocular blood vessel by exercising? I have what looks to be a broken blood vessel

I know for sure you can damage it by rubbing it a lot, but im not sure about excersising. my friend rubbed his eye a lot once, and it was all red with blood. but after a couple weeks or so, things went back to normal.
