hi.. I have a question maybe someone could help me with. I have an appointment to be examined, but I was hoping for some information prior.
I am 20 years old, sexually active for 2 years, but I have not had sex in the last 5 months. I have regular monthly periods, but lately I have had thick, clumpy, brown vaginal discharge all the time: before, during and after my period. I am not experiencing any swelling or itching but I do feel slight pain only when sexually aroused in the pelvic area. Today I inserted a clean tampon and took it out about 3 hours later to find it completely covered in the brown clumpy discharge, but I am not on my period (I was just testing to see how clean the vaginal walls were). I am not expecting my period for another 3 weeks.
I'm confused. Has anyone heard of anything like this???

im around the same age as you, and am going through the same thing, i am currently on the net trying to "self diagnose" myself.
I am very regular with my periods, and have just finished my last period 2 weeks ago. Though just the other day i noticed that i had vaginal discharge, (brown gooey bloody clumpy stuff).
I am weighing up whether or not to go to the doctors, as is quite embarrassing. I am sexually active, both my partner and myself have been together for 5 years. He is abosolutely fine downstairs.
Please let me know if you find out what is wrong
