HI. I’m female, 24 years old, and I have bladder control problems. I strongly believe it is correlated to the amount of sex I had. You see, few weeks ago my boyfriend and went on seaside and had sex very often - quite a few times during that week. At one time I felt I had to go to the bathroom – I actually ran to the bathroom which was 15 yards away but couldn't make it in time and ended up peeing in my pants. Also, during all this time, I felt a burning sensation around my clitoris, right after peeing. Then we stopped having sex (I wanted to make sure that was the cause) and my bladder control seemed to be fine again. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks!!

What you’ve described is most commonly associated with urethral irritation from intercourse. This is causing an urgency and less control, but you do need to be checked from urinary tract infection as well (chlamydia and gonorrhea infections can cause similar symptoms). Also, you should urinate as soon after intercourse as possible, to empty out any bacteria that may have been pushed into the urethra during sex – that could be another cause.
