I am 36 and have been diagnosed with a single angiomyolipoma on my left kidney. It happened when I was in the ER for heat exhaustion and they wanted to do an ultrasound for kidney stones. Six months later I went back to the Dr. and I got an MRI with contrast dye to confirm it is an angiomyolipoma. It measures 2.3 cm. The Dr. said it isn't anything to be worried about and to just monitor it annually. Since I have never heard of this before, nor does anyone in my family have this, I have been reading stories of people on the internet. Most of them are horrific near death experiences that scared me so bad I have had frequent ER visits just imagining the worst. It has really been awful. I'm really scared my tumor will reach the 4cm ceiling and I will hemorrage. 

Here is my question. Has anyone tried acupuncture and herbs in Chinese medicine to shrink the tumor? Is it effective? What was the procedure like? 

 

Also, if anyone has this tumor and is doing well, please let me know as it will bring me comfort.
