Can cortisone cause all over body pain?

I am experiencing a lot of pain as a result of Cortisone use. I have used cortisone several times in my life (in three different forms) and everytime I use it, I am not just sore but I am in pain, all over. I have asked four doctors and several pharmacists and none of them know why. They won't treat the pain either. I have allergies and re-occuring acute sinusitis so I put up with the cortisone pain just to get sinus relief. I just got intranasal shots today. This was a very low dose of Triamcinolone (according to the ENT). I am in pain now so I thought I would search the net to see if anyone else has this problem. The pain seems like all over muscle spasms. I think I have arthritis because I normally have back and leg pain (its a chronic thing) so I should be used to pain. I have had a kidney removed along with the adrenal gland and I was wondering if this could be why I have this unusual symptom. When I use cortisone (even the lightest dose) I get swollen ankles with deep pitting edema. My kidney function tests are normal. I have never been offered a test for the adrenal gland (if there is one). I have had recent heart tests and an ultrasound on my legs (veins) with very good results but, I am no longer allowed to use Aleve so I guess I won't be self medicating for my chronic pain anymore. I am SOL in that department because Tylenol doesn't work and I am sensative to Aspirin.

So my question is, has anyone out there experienced pain as a result of corticosteroid use and do you have a suggestion for safe treatment for the pain? When something causes this much pain I wonder If I should be using it at all.
