I have had 5 cortisone shots in th epast 5 months. My face got very swollen. Doc says it'sis a side effect of the steroids. It's called Cushing's syndrome and that it will go away. Now I have devoled a very bad rash on my face. saw the dermatologist and he just kept repeating it's rosacea, it's rosacea. Everytime I tried to explain something to him, he would say it again.
Here is my question could I have gotten this rosacea flare up from all the cortisone in my system?

Hi - I just had a second cortisone injection in my knee (prior one was 2 months ago) for osteoarthritis. I got it on Wednesday evening. Starting last night (Thursday) my rosacea flared up - both cheeks were very red. This morning, one cheek was still really read and I also had flushing on my chest. I have to believe it's related to the cortisone injection. My doctor wants to switch me to Synvisc next time instead of cortisone - and that shouldn't have any impact on my rosacea.
