My mother has colon cancer, and is experiencing a lot of pain both from the cancer itself and from the treatment that she is receiving... I feel so bad about this, and I would like to be able to help her. Are there any herbal meds that could provide pain relief to her? Any suggestions would be wonderful.

I think that you could possibly try medicinal cannabis as a form of pain relief in cancer. If you are interested in trying this method, I suggest that you speak to the treating doctor about it. As far as I know, medicinal cannabis is provided in pill form now and prescribed just like any other medication. Hope that helps.
