Hi, maybe I'm being paranoid about this, but some reassurance would be nice. A few days ago I started taking BC pills, during the first day of my period. About two days into taking them my period had virtually completely stopped & I had unprotected sex. On the third day however, I've realised the pill is not agreeing with me at all & worsening my asthma, making me very wheezy etc. Basically I have to stop taking it.

My issue is that I am aware that sperm can live inside of a woman for a few days after having unprotected sex, therefore I am wondering, what are my chances of becoming pregnant?

Well, to be honest, like with any unprotected sex, there are chances. The bc you took for two days have highly unlikely started working, so you should have used additional protection.

Unfortunately, you won't know the outcome until your next period is about to arrive. You can take home pregnancy test two weeks after the unprotected intercourse to check if it happened or not.

Good luck!
