Can I treat flu with clindamicin? Once it helped me when I had respiratory infections. My symptoms are very similar now; I just didn’t have a cough then. I found some clindamycin capsules that left after, so I wonder if I can use it. I’d rather keep away from doctor.

Clindamycin is an antibiotic and you can not use it to treat flu. You can treat respiratory infection, but you can’t be sure if it is caused by virus or bacteria. It may cause you side effects, like colitis and very dangerous infection of the colon. Never use antibiotics without doctor’s advice. There are other medicines that your doctor may recommend you; clindamycin is usually not the first choice drug.
