I’ve been diagnosed with what turned out to be psoriatic arthritis 8 months ago, and by the time I went through the whole procedure and got to the rheumatologist, things were really bad so I had to start taking prednisone and 10mg Methotrexate. I can’t say my doctor didn’t warn me about being extra cautious toward any kind of infection because my immune system is going to be weakened by these two medications. I was in so much pain from arthritis that I didn’t care.

And up to this point I’m lucky and cold/ flu free, but I’ve just read that you can’t take Methotrexate with Antibiotic and now I’m wondering what would happen to me if I got a strep throat or any even worse infection?
