Good afternoon sir/ madam

I had a cough for a week and my doctor required me to take Co-amoxiclav (Augmentin) 625mg for 14 days and Erdosteine (zertin) 500mg for 14days also, and I had my x-ray after completing the medicines, the impression given is : Suspicious density, left upper lobe, apicolordotic vew is suggested for futher evaluation, can I have your opinion about this? thank you

Hi Renz,

Get the other x-ray. It should help clarify what they're seeing.

PTB will leave permanent scarring. That might be what they see. That's why rapid diagnosis and treatment is so important.

You may need additional testing, such as a sputum analysis, to determine if you have active PTB or not.
