KeeKee,
I am one of those women who recently wrote about painful intercourse. Your forum appeared next to my posting...but I gotta tell you, it's not vaginal pain. This is deep pain, I think from my uterus, and the pain is a cramping pain. I get the same pain with my periods, with intercouse, and even with that ultrasound.
Does anyone know if a tipped uterus could be the cause of this kind of pain? This is just miserable. Last month I woke up almost nauseous the period cramps were so severe.
Penetration hurts, but not the act of pentration itself. Does that make sense?
My partner's tried fingering me and we've found as long as he's extremely gentle and doesn't go too deep, I can usually tolerate a little bit of that. (Afterall, a man's finger is a little easier to control than an aroused penis!!!) Thrusting is just agony for me...although the "finger method" is not good for him.
I have been able to last until we both orgasm with penis in vagina sex. But I'm miserable for days afterward...
In additioin to the pain, I fear for our relationship. I really love this guy and I'm afraid he'll eventually leave me because of this. We just can't seem to have sex in a mutually satisfying way for us because it's so painful for me.
Incidentally, I saw a new gyn last week. His exam was not too gentle and it felt like the speculum "hit" something. By the time he got done probing and pressing and poking, the painful cramps were returning but he still didn't get it. He, too, insists many women have a tipped uterus and that can't be it. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in gyn's offices, spreading my legs for strange doctors only to have them act like I am overreacting. This last one actually suggested sex therapy!
This is so frustrating...I'm just looking for ideas to solve this.
