I have had head pain for three months now, at first it came and went, but now has been constant for the last month. It is located about one inch above my left ear. It is only in this one spot the size of a fingertip. I have had an mri and mra both of which gave no clues. I was prescribed nortriptyline hcl 10 mg which worked on the pain for about a month but slowly stopped being affective and now do nothing for me. I was also prescribed isometh-d-chloralphenz-apap to take for immediate releif but this does nothing no matter how many I take. The pain is constant, it does not throb, it does not change intensity, I would relate the feeling to having a knife stuck in my head. My doctor seems clueless. Does anyone have any ideas?
