I heard that if you have bleeding between periods that it could be cancer, i just had a swab for STIs done and the results came back clear however im concerned that something is wrong. My period in the past has always been regular however 2 months ago i got put on antibiotics for strep throat and got my period only 2 weeks after tha last, the next month was regular and now i have once again been put on antibiotics for a bladder infection and now have my period (only 2 weeks after) could this be cancer or more likey to be related to the antibiotics?? i am unable to visit a doctor as i am due to travel in a week to asia (for 3 months) and dont think il be comfortable visiting a doctor there. Any comments would be great

Spotting between periods is normal, and can be a sign of ovulation, or just hormonal changes during your cycle.
A PAP test would test for cervical cancer, and hopefully you have had one every year =)

thanks for that, ive read about how spotting is normal. I had a pap smear about 1 1/2 years ago, and it came back clear and am planning on getting on as soon as i get home. Im not too stressed about it as i dont have cramping or anything to go with it, i guess il wait and see what happens in the next few months and keep track for my gyno,

Hello, Im a 25 year old female and I need advice. I am experiencing some of the symptoms of cervical cancer. I bleed between periods, extremely heavy periods (I use tampons and pads), weight loss, ongoing pain in my back, some vaginal pain, and this is really freaking me out. To make matters worse I have been diagnosed (in the past) with HPV and Severe Dysplasia. Any thoughts/comments?

Hi all, im experiencing all symptoms but want to be reassured, the first reason why i went to a gynae was due to pain during intercourse so intense i cried and had to stop! never EVER happend in my life before. other than the time i had two ovarian cysts. so had a laparoscopy! 7 months since my op and im getting all these symptoms, Pain during intercourse, Bleeding After intercourse, Blood Clots, Cramping, tired, spotting, irregular periods, sometimes bright red, normal red, then black then a brown which is normal, painful periods! now iv had a watery brown discharge. Now im getting a clear fluid which is starting to smell. like semen almost.... sorry to be crude! Iv had a swab for all STI's all came back clear! so it none of that. .... the gynae examed my cervix and said i have a pouch which is bigger than usuall? could someone please reassure me! im a person who worries alot! due to family history of cancer!
