I was put on Cymbalta a few months ago for my anxiety and it solved the problem; however, I also suffer from severe gastrointestinal issues and a recent illness required me to stop taking the Cymbalta.
I've been back on the meds for about five days now and have been feeling an intensely increased amount of anxiety, muscle tension, increased heart rate and nausea. I understand that these are withdraw symptoms, but why am I still experiencing them if I'm taking the pills?
Also, does anyone know if Cymbalta has a negative interaction with birth control? This is the only factor I can identify that has changed between now and other times I have taken and gone off of this medication....

I had a similar reaction when i started to take cymbalta for the first time. I took one tablet which caused me to feel extremely nauseous, collapse (severe body weakness), extreme anxiety and body agitation, and caused gastritis. it was the worst 11 days of my life and i only took the one tablet. I lost 6kg in the first 4 days.
