I have cystoid macular edema after a catarac operation. Treatment for 6 months with prednizone drops apparently did not reduce the edema. It now is a year later and the ophthamologist implied that it is permanent. Is this true? should I seek another opinion? Am I likely to suffer deterioration ?
I do not have diabetics. My brother does and my mother was inclined toward high sugar.
