I would like to connect with people living with dentures. I am living a nightmare with mine. I can't even eat the softest foods, speak properly and my partial actually cuts the side of my tongue. It is my belief that the lab made them wrong and can't believe that all denture wearer's live with constant mouth irritation and will never again eat a vegetable (uncooked) salad and many more foods necessary for a healthy diet. I am currently battling with the dentist office to have mine remade. I live in a constant state of anxiety and this is not about cosmetics. I have no quality if life and social events are now filled with self conscious fears. Is my dentist making excuses for poorly made dentures ir us this my life now. All shared experiences good or bad would be appreciated. Thanks Darlene

Hello, Darlene.

I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with your dentures. It can be challenging to adjust to wearing dentures, especially if they are causing discomfort or irritation in your mouth.

It's important to communicate your concerns with your dentist and express your desire to have your dentures remade. Your dentist should be willing to work with you to find a solution that addresses your concerns and improves your quality of life.

There are many people who wear dentures and have had varying experiences with them. Some people have found success with dentures that fit well and feel comfortable, while others may have experienced issues similar to yours. Connecting with others who have had similar experiences can be helpful and comforting.

You may want to consider reaching out to denture wearers support groups or online forums to connect with others and share your experiences. Hearing from others who have gone through similar experiences may provide you with some helpful tips and advice for managing your denture-related issues.

I wish you the best of luck in finding a solution that works for you and improves your quality of life.
