Hi, I've been on antidepressant medications for years, finally settling on Effexor XR 150mg daily for the past 2 years. I also take Hydrocodone 5/500 several daily for chronic pain/migraines. I read a post that I can't find now that stated that there is some hope that antidepressants for major depressive disorder and adjunct Oxycontin can help? Is there any truth to that?

Hi there. I am not sure if it is possible for the two to work well together only because the oxycontin is a depressant and a painkiller while effexor is an SSRI so the two wouldn't seem to work in conjunction together. It is possible taht they could but I am not entirely certain. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
