Hello, folks. My nephew has been diagnosed with autistic syndrome. I really don’t know how this happened. I would like to know if disturbed social skills are expected here or not. What can you tell me about this? I would appreciate all your replies considering this. Thanks for all your help.

Hi, there. Disturbed social skills can be expected in autistic syndrome. They appear in early childhood. They continue through adulthood. Autistic infants react less to social stimuli. They smile and look at others less than normal. One would expect from these kids that they want to be alone. On the contrary, they do not prefer being alone. I hope this helps a little. Good luck with this!
