I've been on birth control for 5 years now. The birth control that I take is a triphasic regimen. I just finished my placebo pills and I want to push my cycle back for a week and have read that in order to do this, I can take a week off of the pills and then start back with a full pack after that week off. I just wanted to know how long will it take for my pills to become effective? I've taken into consideration that I've been on the pills for a while and that a week off may not even effect the "effectiveness" of the BC but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks
