Effexor Class Action Lawsuit

I am also having severe withdrawal problems and would like to join a class action against Effexor. Is there an organized class action?

I hope something can help your mood. I don't mean necessarily an Rx. There are herbals known to be good for severe moods. If you want more info please tell me.

I too would like to know about this. If i had any idea that the withdrawal from this c**p was so bad, I never would have started it. I have been on this evil drug for 10 years, thank heavens only 75mg. I tried once before to come off of it, and the withdrawal was so horrid I went back on it.

I was prescribed Effexor, 150 mg. I really went suicidal, overdose in November. I was completely taken off all medication, now I'm dealing with my depression with no help from my doctor.

My insurance company told me four days ago that they will no longer pay for my effexor. I am perscribed 375mg daily and have been on this medication for years. Obviously if I would have known about the withdrawal I would have never started this terrible medication in the first place. I can barely type right now, I had to call out of work two days in a row, my mind is racing, havent eaten in days, horrible violent dreams, waking up every two hours in a state of panic and a pool of sweat. Please contact me if I can be of any assistance.

I agree! I have tried to get off of Felodipine (generic for Effexor) and haven't been able to. I'm 66 and cannot take this pill any longer. We should have been told about these side effects! If you come across anything on a lawsuit, please let me know.

I ran out 3 days ago and the withdrawals are horrible I too am having shocks in my head and just cannot seem to function normally. I was never told about this drug and I have been taking it for 7 years now. I am going to see a doctor soon that says she can get me off of it but I don't understand how something like this can be prescribed for that length of time I just pray that this will stop soon count me in on anything that you want to pursue to get this drug off the market. Thank you for having this site at least I know I'm not alone

I have been taking Effexor for about the same time resulted in Heart Attack, Bigemedy & Truigemedy 2 blocked arteries rash all over skin result in nervous breakdown when taken off Effexor put back on immediately by doctor 6 months later heart attack. Only 47 was perfectly healthy prior to this addictive drug.

Check out RX Outreach...I was getting Venlafaxine XR (generic) for $45 for 90 day supply. I noticed no difference when switching to the generic. Sorry for your dilemma I totally feel for you. Just the mere thought of running out or being unable to afford it would cause anxiety. It's horrible. I would rather be depressed than be addicted to this drug.

I'm on 225mg of Effexor and since starting it 10 months ago have developed a bad gambling problem overnight. I was on Effexor 8 years ago and developed a cocaine addiction. Both times have completely ruined my life and withdrawal makes me manic.
I've lost everything due to this drug but I feel nobody believes me.

At the moment I'm suffering the horrendous withdrawal effects of this drug, my sympathy goes out to anyone experiencing this, ( I apologise if I am repeating and waffling, I'm currently experiencing brain zaps shivering hot and cold sweats and waiting for sedation from my gp to aid me through this, as she has seen these symptoms from other patients ) my 20 year old niece died by overdose of the same drug just six weeks ago, my father is also suffering the debilitating withdrawals as he has been tapering of It. I have been on this drug years. When I am over this phase of cold turkey, I'm going to put everything I have got to get this drugs horrific side effects and withdrawals common knowledge amongst health professionals, patients and general public. I'm going to transfer the devastation and anger that this pill has done to my family, into something productive and make people fully aware of what taking this drug can cause. We need to stand together and stop these pharmaceutical companies ruining life's young and old, it's shocking that in this day and age this practice is lawful, and it preys on such a vulnerable part if society.

I believe you and you can get back to being the real you. I lost who I was on this drug , started drinking acting out of character, please be strong, fight for your rights as a human being and keep saying it to who pescribing you how you feel until you get heared, I know it's hard when ur at your most vulnerable, please try and get proper support if you want to withdraw, I know it's scarey as I'm going through it now,!try and find a medical professional you trust and get their full support x
