Effexor Withdrawal -- Can cannabis help?

What CBD are you taking?

Smoking cannabis has been the only thing that’s stopped the brain sparks (which are theoretically minor seizures) after coming off Effexor 300mg. I’ve been on Effexor for three years and the dose was increased over this time as the meds stopped working. I’ve read elsewhere that there are links between Effexor and brain damage and I feel like this is true, I don’t even know who I am anymore after being on it for so long it has ruined my life- I can only now see this after coming off Effexor but I’d like to warn others about the dangers of the drug.
If you are having issues with withdrawal please try cannabis if this is an option. I don’t fully understand the science behind it but medicinal cannabis has been proven to reduce seizures in epileptic patients- if the brain sparks are minor seizures then it makes sense that cannabis is helping with this.

I found certain cannabis strains helped, and some made it worse.
CBD high strains helped the electrical storm that was in my head. Ativan also helped.
I would caution people against using a sativa strain as for me personally it made the electrical storm in my head much worse., while a small amount of indica (especially in a 1:1 ratio between CBD and THC helped the most..

How long were you on Effexor

What dose are you taking and how many times a day? Tapering off Effexor right now and unsure how much CBD to use to counteract the bad withdrawal (I mainly get dizziness).

When do u take the effexsor and smoke. I take 150 mg recently and smoke at night. I was taking the effexsor lower dose around 9 pm and sometimes would smoke at 7 and than again around 930-10. I noticed i started To get very dizzy if i took the effexsor especially the 150mg while smoking. I will Now smoke less but inwilll smoke and then take the effexsor before bed. I wake Up feeling in a daze is the current problem and get headaches a lot. Do you think it’s better to take the effexsor in the am and then smoke at night or smoking and than taking it before bed is better?

Can I ask what brand/type CBD oils you used? There's so much of it on the market and not all is quality stuff.
