Hello...
This is kinda embarassing, so stick with me if you can, =P
I'm not a virgin and not currently having sex with anyone, but only the past couple of days, when I get aroused I seem to have a brown discharge... It doesn't particularly smell or anything, but is very thick, but not like any menstrational bleeding...
I'm abnormal in my period, and only get it 3-4 times a year, I know I should probably go to the doctor, but I'm embarassed and have some money issues...
I don't know if it's related or not, but I also sometimes get a marble-sized lump under the skin near my clitoris, stays for a couple of days, then goes away... been happening for a year now...
God, I'm a mess, hahaha....
If anyone can help, please let me know, =\

Hey darlin,
Well the only time ive heard of lumps near the clitoris is when a gland is infected or there is an STD present. Although I cant rule out STDs here, my first piece of advice here is take a few hot salty baths. Salt does'nt agravate the ph of your vagina and therefore can kill off any bacteria. Table salt is safe and can be used with your skin, 2cm of salt in a mug should be surfice and disolve in the water. This said, if the lump is still there, you need to go get an STD screening and seek a doctors opinion.
Now, to address the the period situation.
Things to Remember About Menstruation.
Normal menstrual bleeding lasts about 5 days.
The normal amount of blood lost during menstruation is about 2 to 8 tablespoons, although it may seem like more than that.
The average menstrual cycle is 28 days from Day 1 to Day 1 of your period. However, anywhere from 25 to 31 days between periods is considered a normal menstrual cycle.
The best thing to do when you suspect that you're experiencing abnormal bleeding or menstrual cycles is to consult with your health care provider.
However, I think to know what brown discharge means, you have to know all the discharge and know whats normal and whats not. So here goes:
Different Types of Discharge
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.
Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.
Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.
Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.
Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test.
Anyways get ure periods sorted honey, it could signify a major problem,
all my love,
kee
