The worst of it was going to bed, waking up scared in the middle of the night with a pounding heart, and waking up in the morning with anxiety( fear, tired but wired feeling, high heart rate) I don't really get the High heart rate anymore, not even on my period, but I still get bad anxiety around ovulation and period.
To help with the high heart rate I drank all types of calming teas. Occasional zanex prescribed by doctor to calm my nerves. Melatonin before bed time to help me sleep as needed.
I know how you feel... take care.

Hey Shyla- I haven't had constant upper back pain accept for the occasional zing or sharp shooting pain. I did notice that the 1st month of me going to the chiropractor I started to have a lot of bad lower back pain. That could be why your back hurts, your body is adjusting.
My latest hurdle off the pill has been stress tension which likes to build up shoulders and neck area. It's been a lot more manageable these days but it's still a pain.
I swear it feels like my body has aged 10 years going through all this post pill bs. I can't wait to be all the way healed.... oh yea last month or cycle my ear/sinus/head pressure were very light. I had way more normal days than I ever have since off the pill. But this month/cycle it's been acting up. That's why I thought that maybe it has to do with ovulating from different sides. I'm almost positive the left side of my body has been most conflicted since the start of this.

I thought I would go ahead and share what supplements I am taking right now. It's definitely something to invest in and look into. They do help after awhile. I take most of these daily. There is also a Facebook group I just joined. "The art of healing hormones naturally" some good videos on there. Great book on hormones "female brain gone insane"
1) whole food organic multi vitamin for women
2) vitamin B and C complex combined
3) ashgwanda (regulates stress levels, my body has taken a beating from all this)
4) biotin hair skin and nails pills(has anyone else had hair loss or thinning from all this?) I also have been using castor oil on my scalp 2-3 week and I've seen some results
5) fish oil capsules
6) flax seed/meal into smoothie (good to balance hormones and inflammation)
7) Evening primrose oil- while on my period. I used to take this everyday. Helps balance hormones.
8) take a shot of organic apple cider vinegar every morning. Acid reflux, digestion etc
9) 100 billion count probiotic- I take this daily and think it's the most important of them all. BC disrupts our gut flora.. which can cause leaky gut and a lot of other issues.
*neti pot daily for sinus pressure. Nose spray on bad days after neti pot.

I'm glad you've had more normal days! I'm hoping I will too. Im seeing an amazing naturopath who said I'm basically dealing with adrenal fatigue. She's got lots of tests and supplements lined up. Praaaaaying she's able to help. The first big bleed day of my period was AWFUL. Had a complete breakdown. Felt insane like day one. It was my first period since stopping four months ago. Was your first period bad??

Yes, my throat feels weird a lot. I think I've had a lot of post nasal drip since being ON the birth control -- I had weird sinus issues months leading up to stopping.
One thing I mentioned to my doctor was that I feel worse in the morning. Wake up anxious and "wired but tired." She said it's because cortisol is highest in the morning and with adrenal fatigue, your body is pumping crazy amounts of cortisol. By evening, I start to calm down and feel so much better.
Has each period gotten better for you?

Oh also, I have ringing in both ears. Can't remember if I mentioned that.

I feel so bad that you still have the ringing ears. It really is our hormones. I posted a link to an article on here a couple months back about hormones and ear disorders. I noticed that when I used to get the ringing I had a ton of head pressure and the room would have to be completly quiet. When that happened I just distracted myself with noise and it would go away. the good news is each period has gotten better.

Yes I feel awful afterward if I exercise during the day. Evening I can go on a light walk or do yoga and feel good afterward.
I keep freaking out about my heart lately. Mild chest twinges/heart rate higher/lightheaded. But I'm also on my period which has been awful. Did you say you felt worse on your period or after? I have no idea WHEN I feel better. Last month I was doing better around this time but I also still hadn't had a period yet. This is all so frustrating. :(
