I got my hormone tests back. Estradiol 29 and Progesterone .52. This was on day four of my period. She prescribed me progesterone cream. I'm a little hesitant to start it but man I want to feel better. Not sure what to do.

I would try it out so you can start to feel better. I think it's safe to say that .52 Is pretty low. If this can get you within a more normal range it's worth a shot. It's better than anti depressants.
Make sure to ask if your body will become dependent on this and if you will eventually be able to get off if you haven't already asked.

My best friend flew in to town so I totally deviated from my diet. I was surprised to not have any reactions though so this is good.
I've been doing teaspoon of Himalayan salt in the mornings and just started an adrenal health supplement made by Gaia, plus my ashawaganda. I've been feeling pretty good.

Yeah the progesterone seemed low but I thought progesterone is always low during the follicular phase so I'm still confused. Not sure if she should've tested progesterone at that point or waited until later in my cycle like right after ovulation.
She said it's as close to natural progesterone as we're going to get so I hope it's good.

Wow...This is so scary. I am 61 and just stopped taking the pill after trying 10 years ago. I then at the time went into a tail spin...Too close to menopause to stop. Went back on the pill 5 months later. Now I'm trying again and it isn't any better. After about 6 weeks I have internal shaking...Anxiety...And I feel like I'm going crazy. Didn't want to leave the house today....On the verge of tears...It's like oh no not again. In think the pill should be banned. I didn't know I was in a false state of pregnancy for over 30 or more years. Started on them at 16. Was only off twice. At 20 to have a baby and 1 year in my 30's. Also didn't know it affected my pituitary gland which affects all your other hormones. I would love to be an advocate against the pill. Please spread the word to stay away from this nasty pill.

I guess those $200 prescription glasses I bought that I no longer need aren't enough proof. Back in August/September when I first went off I had a plugged left ear along with blurry vision, both are tied to hormones/allergies. During the first 3 months I had panic attacks, anxiety of every sort, 1 month of depression, the list goes on.. the only time I left my house was to go to work.
I'm now 6-1/2 months off and feel the best I've felt in a long time, but it's been an uphill battle. Probably the biggest mental and physical battle I've ever faced in my life. Let's just say I'm not looking forwards to menopause.
I was on the pill 2-1/2 years. I had taken the depo shot in my teens a couple times, but had no hormonal reaction besides weight gain. I remember my body rejecting the pill when I first started it, I was nauseous and sick all day, felt like pure sh*t, then my doc switched me to another brand and lower dose. I should've stuck to my instinct.
Anyways I hope you feel better. Try to limit caffeine, sugar, white carbs. Eat as clean as you can and take vitamins.

So my morning cortisol is sky high. She has me on Gaia Adrenal supplements and a night time one as well. I'm hoping cortisol is the cause for how I feel so that I can fix it. Otherwise? Absolutely no clue what else to do. I've had everything else run. I'm exhausted from feeling so terrible.
Anyway, at least it's more info I guess. I worried my cortisol was low (which is worse than high actually) and high is a much easier fix, so I'm thankful for that.
How are you??

I've been a lot better. I have not had a panic/anxiety attack in months. I do have moments where I feel foggy, head pressure, sensitive to light, but it passes. It's almost like a light haze of all my old symptoms when I first got off the pill. I just remind myself that my body is still trying to correct itself.
Look up ashawaganda by gaia, from what I read you can take it with low or high cortisol. Its purpose is to regulate your cortisol levels to a happy medium. I've been working out more, which can be worse for the adrenals, but I've been trying to pace myself so that I don't go back into adrenal doom.
I'm glad you are working with this naturopath, I'm sure you will be feeling better soon. I'll be off 7 months on the 26th. I feel better each month, but it's a slow climb, which may take 7 more months, at least it's more manageable now and I don't feel like I'm dying or completely not myself, which can be even more scarier!
Btw, are you able to drink alcohol? I used to enjoy occasional drinks, but now it's like my body is rejecting it and it's just not the same. I couldn't even enjoy a glass of champagne without feeling bluh...

It IS a slow climb. When this is all over, I'll have a lot to think about. Like whether to tackle birth control manufacturers...
I honestly haven't tried drinking more than a sip or two. It's supposed to be bad for mental health and adrenal fatigue, so I've stayed away. I was drinking a glass of wine every day before this. What a change.
I had a stress test at the heart doc, meaning I had to run super hard and I felt AWFUL that evening. Just now I did a light jog so we'll see how I feel later.
There are lots of factors playing into mine I think. I had post partum depression, D-MER when nursing, and hormone fluctuations have always been hard for me. And it's the first time I've come off a pill in 8 years. My body has changed, I've aged (I'm only 29 but still), and I was also on Flonase the last three months on the pill, which is a cortisone.
I don't know. I don't know anymore the best way to proceed, I'm just praying SOMETHING works.

I have a daughter who just turned 11, I don't remember having post partum depression, I remember feeling guilty for not loving her enough or being a super mom from the moment she was born. I also didn't produce enough milk to breast feed so I fed her formula as well until I finally ran out of milk in my 3rd month. So all that bothered me but I was never truly depressed. I never understood depression until I had a bout of it when I came off of the pill. It still scares me to think back to how alone and sad I felt.
I'm turning 32 in June, like you I feel that this entire process has aged me... I hope I'm not stuck feeling like I'm in my 50's. I was taking prescribed Flonase after the pill due to my sinus/ear issues. I really don't like the way it makes me feel though, maybe I have some drainage issues, it just makes my throat feel tight and doesn't do much to unblock my sinus. Is there a reason why cortisone would have some sort of side effect with our hormones?
