I was involved in a RTA 3 wks ago which a car hit me from behind and I shunted the car infront. I was stablised at the time. My point is, that the day after the RTA I couldn't get out of bed with stiffness in my neck and pain in my lower back that travells down my right leg to just below my knee. I have visited my Doctor who has confirmed that I am suffering from Sciatica and has prescribed DICLOFLEX 50MG. The pain is that bad that it takes me over half an hour every morning to get up and that is with the aid of my son to assist me. However, I do find as the day wears on the pain does ease. But now I have noticed that the pain has started to travel down my left thigh and both my feet are swolen. Also, when I walk, lets say 100yrd I am getting pain in both shins, front and sides. Could someone professional please give me an oppinion to whether this is normal. My Doctor advises that if this Sciatica does not ease within 4xwk then she will refere me to a Physiotherapist. Any info regarding these issues would be very much appreciated. thankyou.
