I had a frenuloplasty done eight days ago. The procedure was quick, the worst part was the anaesthetic injection, but after that I didn't feel a thing. The first few days, I didn't try to retract my foreskin, as advised by my doctor. There was a lot of pain at about day 4 and 5 after the procedure (had to take some mild painkillers), but now I feel almost no more pain, except when I get erections during the night, but it's a lot better now than it was few days ago.
Anyway, this was just a short description of my experience so far. What bothers me is what I saw after retracting the skin. The stitches are slowly starting to dissolve, but on places where they were tightened to the skin, I can see something that looks like leftover skin tissue in forms of bumps 1-2 mm high. I've browsed through many before/after pictures regarding frenuloplasty, and haven't seen any pictures that showed something like that.
I would be thankful if anyone could tell me if this is normal? Does this leftover skin fall off or shrinks with time? I know it's early to know the final results, but I'm really worried at the moment. Otherwise the frenuloplasty was a success in terms of lengthening the frenulum.
Thanks in advance.

Now, almost three weeks after the procedure, it is much better. Most of the stitches have fallen off, there was no more significant pain after the mentioned day 4 and 5. Erections were painful for several more days, but already after about a week and a half I was able to masturbate gently with no problems (and it was a relief, I can tell you).
As for the bumps, there were several of them when I wrote the first post, but now only one is left and it seems that it also got gradually smaller. However, there are still some stitches around that bump, so I hope it will flatten out after these fall off as well.
In the start everything looked like a mess and I was really worried, but it is healing nicely. Hope everything will look and feel normal soon.

hi guys,
It would really help me to hear from you how this went.
I have the same problem and have been advised for this.
Is it worth the pain and discomfort you go through?
Are there any scars left now?
Does it effect the sensitivity of penis and erection quality?
After how many months were you able to have normal sex and did it pain?
your feedback would really help as I don't know whether I should go for it or let things be the way they are.
I am 33 and suffered this all my life, so thinking of finally getting it sorted out if it is worth it.
thanks

Y E S ! ! ! I had it done on Dec. 16, 2014, the only thing I felt was the small injection of pain killer, nothing after that. I had no pain at home, erections were not painful, I had my doctor remove the stitches 8 days later. I did have 3 small bumps, then down to 2 and now only have 1 small pump. it only took 10 minutes and i was in and out. I did not know my problem could be fixed so easy ! I paid a high price, lived my whole life without sex because it was so painful. This should have been done when I was 12 not 67 ! I did not have any of the problems you read about on the net. I can now move the foreskin all the way back to the base and there is no pain ! Every guy who has not been cut should have this done !

Had mine 4 days ago.. Seriously people there is NO need for a general anaesthetic. I had mine under a local, 10 minute op, 2 hours later I was driving home no problem.
If I had a general it would be 2 days to recover + the trauma on your body.
Local is all you need, slight prick (pardon the pun) that makes you wince a little at first is all.
4th day now, erections at night are a bit painful but to be expected.
I think the worse part is the embarrassment of having it done and the fact my anaesthetist was a really good looking woman.
If you have a tight frenulum and pain during sex get it done. Wish I had years ago.

I have to agree with you about having it done as early as possible. It is such a joy to be able to pull your foreskin all the way down with no pain. Being able to expose the whole inner foreskin and of course the glans is wonderful for sex and masturbation.
I didn't have mine cut by a doctor mine ripped by itself when I was just married but the results are the same. I have no noticeable frenulum, no scars and I can pull the tip of my foreskin all the way down to my belly. I have enjoyed that for 50 years now.
If you have a problem frenulum, get it done as soon as you can. I agree it should be fixed when you are young. They think it's ok to cut a foreskin off on a baby or young boy so why not fix a frenulum on a young boy to allow him all the pleasure he deserves? I well remember the pain of over vigorous masturbation when I was young and can only dream about how great it would have been to have a fully operational foreskin back then.

I wouldn’t give that recommendation man. A lot of uncircumcised men don’t have a short frenulum. It’s known to have the most densely packed pleasure-causing nerves in the entire foreskin.
Ive actually been wearing my foreskin behind my penis head since I was a teenager and (though I did lose some sensitivity when the helmet got tougher and fatter) the frenulum is still incredibly sensitive. And I can still pull my foreskin all the way back.
I definitely do not recommend slicing the most sensitive part of your penis unless it’s giving you trouble.
