Hi
I am a 33 yr old male who had a frenuloplasty 4 weeks ago. I had a short frenulum which meant I couldn't fully retract ALL the way as desired, however I had no problem with my frenulum causing the glands to bend downward, and could easily retract past the head flaccid and erect no problem... but I really wanted my foreskin to retract all that way smooth without any skin bunching behind the glands.
My urologist released the frenulum with a small cut at the top and released some of the skin, but he then reattached the frenulum again about a cm below where it was cut which means I still have the frenulum tugging a bit and still can't retract fully like other guys I have heard who have had this op. My suspicion is that not all frenuloplasty procedures reattatch the frenulum which mean that the foreskin can be retracted to its maximum which is what I wanted. I'm pretty gutted and going to a another urologist for a second opinion.
My questions are:
Has anyone here faced similar problems post op?
Has anyone had a second frenuloplasty? (Is that possible?)
Now that he has reattached the frenulum, is there any danger of having it released again, nerves etc?
Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Hi,
sorry to hear about your unsatisfied outcome from your frenuloplasty.
I felt similar after my procedure a couple of years ago, however, the urologist surgeon
did not lengthen the frenulum enough for me. I asked if another procedure would be
possible but he said that I should try stretching it with creams which has proven to
be unsuccessful so far. I can retract the foreskin perfectly fine but the issue is that the
head of the penis still bends down as the foreskin gets retracted which is not pleasant.
I have now gone to another urologist to be diagnosed, I did not tell them I have had a previous
procedure but just a tear and I got booked in for a second frenuloplasty which should be in a few months time.
I have also done some more in depth research lately and have come across content about frenular artery tear,
due to already having had a frenuloplasty the scar tissue is now somewhat close to a visible artery, my concern
is whether the person who diagnosed me took this into account and whether there can be an issue if it gets cut
in the second procedure. I understand that they are highly qualified professionals but I am still worried, have you
thought about this as well?
