gravol addiction

Hi , I usually have been taking 1 or 2 when absolutely needed everydsy for over 2 years . I am physically addicted to it. If I try to stop I will vomitt . What do I need to do to stop taking it.

Hi my name is Vicki I've been addicted to gravol off and on for many many yrs. I take bout 14a day but I'm not taking everyday anymore but I can't seem to just give it up I'm worried about my health my body aches badly even my finger bones will ache. I feel sometimes like I can't properly swallow ,headaches blurred vision and bad depression and I can't figure out why I'm doing this to myself .I never thought there were these side affects from them and there so addictive. It says habit forming on the box it should say highly addictive just like taking meth or something does anyone know if there is permanent damage after getting off these things ? And if Theres anything my dr. Can do to help me get off for good?Nobody knows I take these stupid pills Id feel way uncomfortable telling anyone so I'm really glad I can vent here with others that are going through the same thing thx. So much for sharing your stories so I could share mine .I didn't think there was anyone going through this gravol addiction and trying to get off the sickening pills .

Hi I have over used gravol for about a year. I have taken it off and on most of my life. But never abused it. I get serious motion sickness and would only take it when flying or long card rides etc. I'd just avoid things that would make me nauseous or sick. A year ago I had a big surgery that kept me from returning to work for 2 months . I was taking heavy narcotics for pain . and I've only ever had to take pain killers one other time in my life so I had a weak stomach for it. So I'd have to take a gravol with each painkiller to keep from throwing up. So I recovered and no longer needed the pain killers. But had a really hard time sleeping. So took 3 gravol just to put me to sleep. Then I couldn't sleep with out it. But I found if I went a day without any. I'd throw up because I needed it. If I had a day off I'd pop 10 so I could relax . and then take 25 at around 10 at night so I'd sleep all night . I'm 35 and id spend the night out and when I was going home the next day , on multiple occasions my boyfriend would have to stop so I could throw up. I don't want to do this . my boyfriend has been asking me to move in and I don't want him to find out. I've gone down from 25-30 at a time. To just 10-12 a day. I want to stop , what do I do

Did you end up with any withdrawal symptoms from gravol? I drink occasionally but I take gravol for a dizziness disorder. I tried to stop taking it cold turkey and my stomach hurt so much. Crazy nauseated and stomach cramps.

I dont know where everybody is getting these claims of infamous gravol induced hallucinations from which allegedly only occur when takin them in excess.ive taken gravol for the last ten yrs to what currently would be deemed in excess and never have i had this experience.(gravol is intended for travel sickness symptom relief and has proven to be an effective remedy to similar syptoms associated with sense of gravity and balance most notably conditions of the inner ear. ) anyways my long term use, resulting tolerance and the excess ingestion led me here and i figured f**k it.lets explore this.
1) the effects of taking more than recommended in one shot clearly has differant effects on differant ppl. For me hallucinations are not one ive experienced even after curiosity had me take a handful.(. I mean a HANDFULL.i sh*t u not if i told u the exact amount youd think reading this is a hallucintation because i should be dead).still I did not hallucinate.
Then theres the fact of gravol dimishing brain cells as a result of abuse.i argue the absence of said braincells were already a problem pre gravol because only an id**t would decide one day "gee i wonder what would happen if i took 5 at once having never taken them before?" me? I started taking as recommended out of desperation to remedy chronic dizziness.i had the same symptoms gravol claimed to cure and common sense led me to put two and two together. in fact i find i think act and articulate with increased clarity.
For whatever reason i can focus more intently on tasks, projects etc etc.
My sense of hearing is heightened to an uncomfortable level of sensitivity .not sure if this is relevant to gravol use or the reason that led to use of gravol (inner ear condition).in any event its a very real discomfort.

Am i the only one who experiences gravol use in this way?seriosly! Its weird Gravol for me is like ritalin for ppl with adhd

I have tried 1000 mg, it is not fun, I was screwed up for days cuz it’s long acting tablets.

I have plummeted to 30-40 day for one year. I got a kidney scare and went off cold turkey. I am in excruciating pain all over and haven't been able to get out of bed for three days. I went to the emergency and they gave a a couple of relaxants and let me go. I still.can not calm myself down

I was taking 50 a day and than my husband threatened to take the kids . I’ve had seizures from it. And I was pretty much going to be ina coma soon enough. I’ve been clean for three weeks, cold turkey. Nothing, I mean Nothing has the power to take my children away. Not even Gravol

I am in much worse than this gentleman, where can I turn for help?

I never have or would ever abuse gravol. But I take 1 sometimes 2 if needed every day to deal with stomach issues. I wanna stop. What will happen when I do?

I've been abusing gravol for long time, and now I've quit taking it. What is withdrawals going to do to my body? And will I have permanent damage to my organs? And how long do withdrawals last?
