My ex is on methadone and he is also addicted to Gravol. It has gotten progressively worse over the past year. He goes through a bottle of 50 in two days. He takes them to the point of passing out. He has lost a lot of wait, he doesn't shower or shave, he is always miserable, when he talks he doesn't make any sense or talks about things that aren't real, he falls asleep while driving and has already drove his truck into a tree (he had to be pulled out by someone else). Even he could have died he still says he doesn't have a problem. Everyone in his life is worried for him but he doesn't seem to care about anything. When anyone tries to talk to him about his addiction he gets very defensive and shuts down. He needs help before he kills himself or someone else but I don't know what to do (especially when he doesn't want help). HELP!

Sorry to say but gravol is a drug and it eats you from the inside out. And not trying to scare people but you can end up dead from the drug

This is quite an old post but I'm quite glad I found it. I'm 19 and I think I may be addicted to gravol myself. I was recently discharged from rehab for abusing recreational drugs and alcohol to cope with depression and anxiety. On a side note, i have major stomach issues. Its probably nothing serious but im always sick to my stomach. i hate feeling naseous more than anything so i take gravol about 5 times a day. usually two at a time. I'm happy to know im not the only one. I thought it was stupid thinking I could have an addiction to gravol.

I'm in the same boat as you I'm a heroin addict and caffeine and cigs just don't do it fr me anymore. I abused gravol for the first time yesterday and with that being said, it is very possible to get addicted. And same with immodium. Take enough of that and you'll be high as a kite. Immodium (loperimide is the proper medical term) also took away all my withdrawals when I tried to kick smack. As for your daughter, it's quite easy to see the signs. Especially with what everyone has said.... Just keep an eye out And with all do respect, wouldn't it just be easier to call/talk to a doctor ? best wishes

"She is 25 years old but acting like a child. The truth is that these last couple of months she began to suffer from radiation sickness and postoperative vomiting. She had some bowel operation few months back and since then she is taking some drug called Gravol". So happy you're not my mother. Yes your daughter may be misusing gravol but it is related to the illness she is suffering from even if she may be abusing it. Have a little compassion.

gravol isn't the root of your issues unfortunately, it's your depression. you began using gravol to mask this and it caused severe problems for you. are you also seeking therapy to deal with this depression?

I am also on 25-35 pills a night and I have been on this high dose for 4 years. My eyes burn I am dehydrated paranoid. I sleep in until 1-2:00 pm. I get very angry and aggressive all the time. At first the gravel high is nice but as I come down the only word I can think of it feels worse than hell. I have kidney trouble and liver trouble since being on gravol. A bottle of 100 only lasts me 3-4 days. I need help. My name is John

I am one of those people that cannot take gravol because it causes insomnia and 'crawly leg syndrome'.
